Stonefactory

Stonefactory

Stonefactory takes us to two small stonemills in the outskirts of Kathmandu, Nepal. The photographer Olof Jarlbro shows us a world were time has stood still, a place were manual labour is still cheaper then the work of machines, and a place were the workers homes are small metal shacks located on the grounds of the factory. This book portrays the daily lives of the families working and living in the stone factories. The photographs taken by Jarlbro reveal human grace at the border of despair.
